Q - How do I get the oven going?
A - We will supply you with a starter kit called "fire in a box", click on the link to watch how easy it is to get your oven fired up- CLICK HERE

Q - How hot does the oven need to be to cook pizza's?
A - The oven works best at cooking pizza's when it's around 400 degrees.

Q - How long does it take to reach 400 degree's?
A - It takes around an hour.

Q - How do you know when the oven is hot enough?
A - We will supply you with a thermometer, place this in the oven just to one side, bear in mind that the temperature there will be slightly cooler than the middle of the oven where you will be cooking.

Q - What is the best wood to burn in the oven?
A - We supply you with enough wood for one night, however Jarrah (Recycled is just as good, make sure that it is free from paint or chemicals) or Mallee Root works best, harder wood's burn longer and produces less smoke. Pine can be used to start the fire or if you need quick heat. "Never use treated wood". Extra wood can be purchased from us if you desire.

Q - How much smoke will there be?
A - The oven only smokes when you light it initially, this does not last for long.

Q - How much wood does the oven take?
A - One bag of wood is sufficient for one nights use.

Q - Can I cook other food besides pizza's?
A - Yes, you can cook anything in the oven, use a tin foil tray to cook veggies, roasts and Fish.

Q - Does the oven need to be under cover away from the elements?
A - No, the oven is perfectly fine in all weather conditions.
